# 2025 Excellence in Mentoring Awards Ceremony and Recipients June 20, 2025 ![ 11 recipients of the 2025 Mentoring Awards pose with their awards in the Waterhouse Room. On June 3, the Office for Culture and Community Engagement hosted the Awards Ceremony held in the Waterhouse Room of Gordon Hall on the Harvard Medical School campus. The ceremony honored recipients of the Young Mentor Award, the A. Clifford Barger Excellence in Mentoring Award, and the William Silen Lifetime Achievement in Mentoring Award. The Office for Student Engagement also recognized this year’s HMS Scholar in Medicine Excellence in Student Mentoring Award recipients during the ceremony. In his recorded remarks, HMS Dean George Daley welcomed attendees and thanked the awardees for building a legacy through mentoring, which he noted benefits mentees, mentors, and the institution by preparing individuals for greater responsibility and community service.
