Daley—to hear about Dr. Nathan’s remarkable journey, the breakthroughs that have defined his career, and his advice for those beginning their paths in science and medicine.</p><p>For more than six decades, Dr. David G. Nathan has shaped the field of hematology as a pioneering physician-scientist, educator, and leader. Dr. Nathan’s visionary research led to transformative advances in the understanding and treatment of inherited blood disorders, particularly thalassemia and sickle cell anemia. As Physician-in-Chief of Boston Children’s Hospital and President of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Nathan not only changed the trajectory of patient care but also mentored generations of hematologists, leaving an indelible mark on the future of medicine.
