In times of change, our strength as a community lies in recognizing our shared responsibility to shape the future together. While we may hold different perspectives, we are united by a commitment to pursuing excellence in teaching, learning, and research. The 2026 Forum invites members of the University to lead with community—to explore how we can center community in our everyday interactions and decisions to become better leaders.
This year, we will examine what it means to foster a meaningful sense of belonging and thriving: a campus environment where people are seen, heard, and able to participate fully. Together, we will address essential questions: How do we move forward while honoring the experience of the whole community? How do we balance individual dignity with our shared aspirations? And how do we build a campus culture where trust, care, and accountability are everyday practices?
Through dialogue and practical skill-building, the Forum will equip participants to engage across differences, break down silos, and strengthen connections. It is designed to foster dialogue, learning, and collaboration around questions of community building, belonging, and engagement across difference. Together, we will imagine and embody leadership that is rooted in relationships and committed to helping every member of our community thrive.

The Community and Campus Life Forum brings together faculty, staff, students, researchers, and alumni from across Harvard to foster a campus culture rooted in our shared University values. The event convenes the entire community to learn from one another, highlight promising practices, showcase innovative scholarship with potential for community impact, and support University-wide thinking about how we live out our shared commitments.
