**What inspires or motivates you in your role at HMS/HSDM?**  
The students, residents, fellows and post-docs working at HMS/HSDM are talented and dedicated clinicians, investigators and educators who will make many important contributions to the future of healthcare Their deep commitment to help and care for people and communities by developing and applying their healing and leadership skills is inspiring. Their creativity and courage to investigate the most daunting problems in biology and medicine is admirable.

**What are you most proud of about your work at HMS/HSDM?**  
Our students, residents, fellows and post-docs consistently develop into superb teachers, investigators, clinicians and scholars.  
Their contributions to our society advance the health of our families and strengthen our communities. Helping to accelerate the personal and professional development of our students and trainees early in their life-arc is richly rewarding.

**What is the significance of the object you brought with you to the photo shoot?**  
The object is the logo for UpToDate. UpToDate is a global internet resource for clinicians that helps guide their approach to patient care. UpToDate was conceived by Harvard faculty and a significant portion of the intellectual material continues to be provided by Harvard faculty. UpTodate is arguably the most widely used source of medical information in the world, the most comprehensive single-site resource, covering most fields in medicine, and the most timely, best edited and curated body of medical information available. UpTodate represents an example of organizing available knowledge so that front-line clinicians can make the best decisions for their patients.
