Speaker: Gaurav Singal, MD

Gaurav Singal, MD, is a physician and computer scientist who most recently served as Chief Data Officer of Foundation Medicine. There he was responsible for designing and building the company’s data platform and pioneering data linkages combining the largest cancer genomics dataset in the world with clinical data, digital pathology images, and bio-banked samples. This platform became a product engine which enabled more efficient R&D for novel therapies and diagnostics, and supported complex clinical decision making for cancer patients. Previously, Gaurav built NLP solutions for clinical and research use and founded a number of health data and technology startups. He remains on the faculty at Harvard Medical School, where he continues to see patients and also directs a graduate course on healthcare technology. He currently serves as an advisor and investor to a portfolio of companies advancing AI in healthcare.
