Skills Workshop for College and High School Students

Held each fall, this program is designed for post-baccalaureates, college and community college students, and high school sophomores through seniors who are interested in science, medicine, and healthcare and are eager to take the next step in their academic and professional journeys. It offers a full day of sessions on college and grad school applications, interviewing, resume writing, landing internships, and smart financial planning—designed to give attendees the skills, strategies, and tips to stand out. Special sessions for parents and caregivers are also included to help equip families with the knowledge they need to support their students’ ambitions. The program will conclude with a student panel and an internship and resources fair, featuring BSCP/HMS partner organizations.

This program is co-sponsored by Harvard Medical School, the Office for Culture and Community Engagement (OCCE), and the Biomedical Science Careers Program (BSCP).

There is no registration fee to attend, but a completed registration form is required.

The 2026 Skills Workshop for College and High School Students will be held on Saturday, November 21 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm at Harvard Medical School. Registration will open in the fall.
